The proposed scope of the contract is to provide the following requirements to Bristol City Council, South Gloucestershire Council, North Somerset Council and Bath and North East Somerset Council (each being a “Council” and together being the “Councils”) throughout the geographical area of all the Councils:(i) A high quality, output-based maintenance service, 365 days per year, to include electrical testing, periodic inspections, fault rectification, equipment cleaning and all other activities normally associated with traffic signals and ITS infrastructure maintenance. The successful contractor will be expected to attend emergency call outs and liaise with external bodies to maintain the highest levels of service; and(ii) The supply and installation of traffic signal and ITS equipment for all new, and modification, installation work, priced under a schedule of rates.Provision for the above requirements is sought with the contract scope including but not limited to the following core and none-core requirements although the core requirements may be different for each Council. Where a requirement is indicated as a core requirement it must be noted that this classification could relate to between 1 and 4 of the Councils. Core Requirements: Supply, installation, incidental works, asset maintenance and management of third party suppliers in respect of traffic signals and other ITS equipment including, variable message signs, (including car park signs), car park counters, traffic wigwags and vehicle activated signs. Management of third party communications suppliers. Non–core requirements (the following are additional services that may be needed by any of the Councils in future): Supply, installation, incidental works, asset maintenance and management of third party suppliers in respect of Green Wave panels, pollution monitors, ANPR, CCTV, safety cameras and additional equipment proposed by tenderers. Third party debt recovery.
