Plymouth Community Homes (PCH) is a new housing association set up to take over the ownership and management of over 15 000 homes in Plymouth from Plymouth City Council. Transfer took place in Autumn 2009. PCH intends to enter into a contract with one or two contractors (this will be confirmed later in the procurement process) for the installation, testing and commissioning of heating packs at its properties. PCH are seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified and highly experienced contractors for the works programme. PCH are seeking to appoint one or two successful contractors to add to the two contractors who are currently in place as one of the original three contractors chosen, has ceased to trade. Interested contractors should have a strong track record of delivering best practice on similar contracts and be able to proactively help. PCH in delivering its "green agenda" within the communities in which it will operate. The works programme will comprise of the installation, testing and commissioning of heating packs (boilers, radiators and suitable controls, all of which will be provided by PCH) and will also include the installation and provision of associated piping, wiring, services and general builders works and repairs as necessary. The successful contractor will be tasked with working collaboratively with PCH, the supplier of the heating packs, PCH's direct labour organisation, small and medium enterprises and all of PCH's stakeholders to deliver a best value, high quality works programme.
