Belfast City Council, (“the Council”) invites applications from suitably qualified, competent and experienced contractors who wish to be included on a select list for electrical services installation at various Council Properties and Locations. The purpose of this Tender is to award a single contractor. The works covered by this Contract comprises of the repair and maintenance of electrical services to cover 24 hour response maintenance, programme repairs and minor alterations. The work will incorporate emergency lighting, general and specialist lighting, general purpose and socket outlet installations, electric heating, power distribution systems, electrical work in connection with mechanical services and specialist installations if and when required. The provision of a emergency, 24 hour, seven days per week call-out services to secure and make safe Council property is an essential and integral part of this work and is ‘of the essence' with regards to the award and performance of the contract. The Contractor is required to have his representative on site within two hours to make safe the location within the Contract area. The Contractor shall provide the Council with one contact name and telephone number for this purpose. A select list of no more than 6 contractors will be established from which tenders will subsequently be invited.
