East Lothian Council intends to seek Bed and Breakfast services, located in East Lothian, to meet its obligations under Part II of the Housing (Scotland) Act 1987 — Homelessness Provisions (as amended, substituted or supplemented from time to time). Bed and Breakfast services may be offered, to participate on the multiple supplier framework, from businesses with Houses for Multiple Occupancy (HMO) registration (or businesses in the process of applying for HMO registration). Bed and Breakfast services in properties that do not require an HMO registration, due to the size of the property, may be considered but the proprietor and facilities will require to be assessed, with reference to the HMO requirements, by East Lothian Council.
