Digitisation of Kartelas

The main objective of the contract is to improve immovable property rights information through the digitisation of all available textual information of immovable property records, i.e. ‘kartela’s. The project will first design the methodology, approach and work plan for the kartela digitisation, as well as asses the quality of the existing kartela database and provide a kartela digitisation and indexing application. In a second phase, the project will scan and digitise the paper-based documents throughout the country, from all State Cadastre Offices. This entails also the verification and upgrade of already digistised kartelas and the migration of the newly digitised and validated data into a central database.
