The armed forces shall purchase a new system for the collection and analysis of log data for the armed forces’ secure platfroms (FSP). There are a large number of elements that generate log data and the system shall take care of the collection of log data and analysis of events in the log files. The following main aims for the desired system have been identified: — collection and analysis of log data from elements in FSP. Historical data and data close to real time will be analysed, — support for long term storage of log data, — implementation of shelf systems in order to minimalize any adaptations and the system shall be relatively simple to maintain, — need for an enterprise licensing model where licences are given for the total log amount independent of the number of server installations.
