Potential Framework Agreement for Commissioning Support Services

The NHS Commissioning Board (operating under the name NHS England) wishes to engage with organisations who aim to purchase and providers who can and are interested in providing the following commissioning support services: — Procurement Services for NHS commissioners including but not limited to; support for commissioning strategy, health needs assessment and forecasting (e.g. JSNA), market management, end to end healthcare procurement, contract and performance management; — Additional support services including but not limited to data capture, management and integration, business intelligence and analytical services, strategic communications including media, freedom of information requests and website management, patient consultation for NHS Commissioners; — A full end to end commissioning support service including but not limited to; business support services (including finance, payroll, human resources, legal advice and corporate governance) and procurement and additional support services (as listed above) for NHS commissioners; — Clinical support services including but not limited to; individual funding requests and complex case management, medicines management and prescribing services, continuing care and funded nursing care and safeguarding services for NHS commissioners; — Transformational support for NHS commissioners including but not limited to planning, management and implementation of service redesign, specific clinical service change and pathway redesign. The likely customers of the above services are Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs), NHS England and other NHS and public sector health organisations. Please refer to the additional information section of this PIN (section II.8) for information about opportunities for interested organisations to engage with NHS England and other stakeholders.
