The following is a description of the main elements of the work: A total of 6 nose loader passenger boarding bridges from a new pier and Terminal building structure at the existing airport at Flesland Airport, Bergen, Norway. With the exception of small variations to the heights of the apron, all nose loader bridges are identical. The bridges serve a variety of category B and C aircraft, predominantly category C. The Boarding Bridges are attached to the ramp houses and linked to the pier with fixed bridges, all supplied by others. The sidewalls of the nose loader Bridges shall be glazed and shall be similar in appearance to the fixed bridges. The scope of work shall include detailed design including interface design with the ramp houses, the apron and technical services from the pier, manufacturing, transport to site, installation, commissioning and testing, training and documentation. The lifting mechanism will be supported from a reinforced concrete plinth which will be designed by the Boarding bridge supplier, but installed by others. There may be an option for a service contract after installation. An option may be included for the supply of a Visual Docking Guidance System for the new 6 gates. In addition, the supply may also include the replacement of the existing docking system on 9 gates in the existing terminal building. The work on the gates in the existing terminal building would be carried out in stages and be complete when the new Terminal opens in 2017.
