Oslo municipality has a clear goal of becoming an emission free city and shall reduce 95 % of Greenhouse gas emission with 95 % by 2030. As a part of this initiative Oslo municipality wants to identify the options for enter a coordinated contract for biofuel. The biofuel shall mainly be used for the municipality's vehicles and machine fleet that is not electrified, particularly construction machines, emergency response vehicles and heavy vehicles. The municipality has currently 120 vehicles (more than 3,5 tonnes) and more than 250 machines using fossil fuel.
