Contract for Undertaking Services.

The provision and management of supplying a service for the uplifting and transportation of dead bodies (with all necessary equipment and vehicles), as referred by Grampian Police, 24 hours per day, 7 days per week including all public holidays; The contract shall be divided into 3 lots as follows: Lot 1 - Transporting bodies found within Aberdeen City to and from the Mortuary at Grampian Police Force Headquarters, Queen Street and also to the Mortuary at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary as directed by Grampian Police. Potential Providers MUST note that, upon receipt of a call from Grampian Police to undertake these services the Potential Contractor MUST attend the locus within ONE (1) hour of receiving the call to conduct these services. Lot 2 - Transporting bodies found within Aberdeenshire to and from the Mortuary at Grampian Police Force Headquarters, Queen Street and also to the Mortuary at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary as directed by Grampian Police. Potential Providers MUST note that for Lot 1 and Lot 2, upon receipt of a call from Grampian Police to undertake these services the Potential Contractor MUST attend the locus within ONE (1) hour of receiving the call. Lot 3 - Transporting bodies within the Grampian Police Force Moray Region to and from a local Mortuary of which includes; Dr Gray's Hospital, Elgin, on occasion the Mortuary at Grampian Police Force Headquarters, Queen Street and the Spynie Mortuary, as directed by Grampian Police. Potential Providers MUST note that, upon receipt of a call from Grampian Police to undertake these services the Potential Contractor MUST attend the locus within one hour, unless the location is outwith a 15 mile radius of a major town, an additional 45 minutes attendance time will be applicable. Major town shall mean Elgin, Forres, Buckie, Inverurie, Huntly, Stonehaven, Banchory, Peterhead, Fraserhead, Banff, Turriff or Aberdeen.
