Training simulators. The Authority may have a requirement to provide a managed service for the provision of an instrumentation capability and related services to enhance Live training conducted at British Army Training Unit Kenya (BATUK). It is anticipated to have an in-service date (ISD) delivered in Kenya by 1 September 2014. The requirement is to provide in Kenya, a supported service to deliver dismount, vehicle and other asset instrumentation (including the replication of direct and indirect weapons and other effects); exercise control and monitoring; provision of after action review services in support of force on force collective training up to Battlegroup level and associated services. The support to training is required across a large geographic area, thus it is envisaged that elements will be deployed to various exercise locations within the challenging training area in Kenya. The supplier must provide a robust, reliable capability with deployable equipment, and field support in a demanding and potentially hostile environment. There is a possibility over the duration of the contract the service may be required to be delivered in a different country.
