Fife Council is required by law to bill and collect Council Tax and Business Rates from its residents, and to process and pay Housing and Council Tax Benefit. In order to perform the tasks the Council requires a specialist contractor to handle the main billing, issue of reminders and warrant notices and the issue of documents associated with Housing and Council Tax Benefit and Business Rates. This involves the production of bills, reminder letters and benefit documentation from electronic data supplied by the Council. The awarding authority has indicated that it will accept electronic responses to this notice via a "tender submission postbox" facility. Suppliers are advised to allow adequate time for uploading documents and to dispatch the electronic response well in advance of the closing time to avoid any last minute problems.
