Supply, installation & optional maintenance of network monitoring closed circuit television cameras.

The framework agreement shall be for the supply, installation, commissioning and subsequent optional maintenance of equipment as defined in the specification and bill of quantities within the timescales specified in the conditions of contract from receipt of a works instruction. The framework agreement is for the supply and installation of a number of CCTV cameras, Pan, Tilt, Zoom (PTZ) heads, columns, cabinets and associated equipment to provide real-time colour pictures (depending on the communications method employed) including communications and such equipment or works as may be required to effect full operational integration with the existing CCTV control system, as detailed below. The instation facilities are housed in the Romanse traffic and travel information centre (TTIC) at the County Council’s ITS group offices currently based at Monument House in Winchester. Following installation, commissioning and takeover of an installation e.g. a complete camera outstation, by the council the framework agreement makes provision for a one-year defects liability period. Maintenance during the defects liability period shall be included in the framework agreement price. Tenderers are required to submit pricing for optional maintenance for the equipment for the years following the expiry of the defects liability period. Tenderers should price the maintenance on a) a fixed price basis for 3 years and b) up to a further 3 years with an annual price review. The location of each CCTV camera will be detailed in a works instruction issued by the engineer or his/her representative. The contractor shall note that an existing ‘Cambridge’ CCTV control system (supplied by Tyco Fire & Integrated Solutions, formerly Philips Projects) is currently installed in the Hampshire Romanse TTIC, Winchester. CCTV cameras supplied under this framework agreement shall be connected to, and controlled by, this system. This system may change during the life of this framework agreement. The contractor will be expected to liaise with Tyco Fire & Integrated Solutions as required and provide all such information as is necessary to effect full integration of cameras and associated equipment with the existing control system, or in the future whichever system shall be in operation at HCC. Allowance for such should be included within the tender.
