Wicklow County Council currently operate a service contract for the provisions of parking control services for Greystones which expires on the 4.8.2011. Under the statutes identified in this document Wicklow County Council, is enabled to regulate and enforce parking and litter control within its administrative area. Wicklow County Council intends to maintain the existing Controlled Parking Areas (CPAs) in the town of Greystones, Co.Wicklow and to extend the services currently provided to include litter control services by the appointment of a new services contract. Enforcement of parking and litter control is undertaken under the provisions of the 1994 Road Traffic Act (Details of enforcement are contained in the “Greystones Parking Control Scheme Bye Laws 2009”), the Litter Pollution Acts 1997-2009 and the Beach Bye Laws. This tender generally includes for the; a) Enforcement of parking control bye laws and administration of controlled parking; b) Processing and collection of parking charge notices; c) Administration and issue of permits; d) Revenue Collection associated with the services; e) Enforcement of the Litter Pollution Acts 1997-2009; and f) Maintenance of parking meter machines.
