NRK invites the market to a technical market dialogue where the objective is establishing a strategy and a further roadmap to ensure NRK's storage solutions in the best possible manner in a medium to longer term. Important strategic elements related to this are: — NRK shall move to a new head office within 5 to 7 years. This requires relocation of the current storage solution, — NRK's storage needs are expected to increase significantly — estimated to approx. 2 PB annually, — as a result of performance requirements in video editing, this will lead to limitations on how production workflows and configuration are done, — NRK's long-term strategy is to use more cloud-based and service-oriented services based on consumption pricing, — NRK wants to procure reliable and robust storage solutions with easy and fast availability also with a view to backup and disaster recovery.
