The cinemas in Norway were digitised in the period from 1.7.2010 to 1.7.2011. From, and including, 7.4.2014 the framework agreement for purchase of digitised cinema equipment and NOC, and control and service of the cinema equipment. NOC stands for Network Operation Centre, and includes operation, support and troubleshooting of network/phone and any emergency call-outs to the cinema. All cinema facilities in Norway are monitored by a NOC centre and many problems can be solved without the engineers having to be called out. NOC provider must, however, have technically trained personnel that are available to the cinemas by telephone. The NOC agreement will be subject to a new tender that will take effect for four years from 4.7.2014. A negotiated tender contest will be advertised. Qualification documents will be published in the last week of June, and the deadline for submitting tenders for qualification must be received by award authority by 15.8.2013.
