The verall objective of this procurement is to induce a major improvement in the hydroacoustic research capabilities on board the research vessel in order to bring the hydroacoustic research potential to contemporary standard. The systems should be able to provide detailed information of sunken objects that may contain various oils, preferrably provide information about oil in the water column and to provide detailed topographic and seafloor substrate information around the objects. The improvement of R/V Aranda’s existing hydroacoustic systems include 3 major instrumentation and system entities as described in Annex 1. SYKE values high-quality systems that fulfil the requirements for performance when operating in the Baltic Sea and continental shelf areas of the world ocean.
