North Ayrshire Council has a requirement for the Recovery, Reuse and Recycling of Bulky Household Waste Products collected by the Council's Amenity Waste, Building Services Bulky Waste, Bulky Special Uplift Waste and HWRC mixed waste delivered by Council vehicles. The contract will comprise of two distinct requirements: Lot 1 will be for the provision of a facility for the receipt and processing of Bulky Household Materials.; Lot 2 will be for the provision of a repair and refurbishment workshop and a High Street "Revolve" accredited Reuse shop. Further information on what each lot entails is detailed in the tender document. The Council is seeking to appoint a single contractor to manage/deliver the entire service. This is envisaged as being a Waste Management organisation working in partnership with a Third Sector Organisation, however consideration may be given to awarding each lot as an individual contract if the tender exercise demonstrates that this will provide better value to the Council.
