INTO Academic Building

University of Stirling (UoS) and INTO University Partnerships (INTO) have formed a Joint Venture ‘INTO Stirling LLP’ to prepare students for undergraduate and postgraduate study. To facilitate the Joint Venture, a new academic facility (INTO Centre) of circa 1 842m sq with services infrastructure, external works and landscaping will be developed by UoS to provide an excellent educational environment that create supportive and effective progression to university for the students. UoS INTO students will study in the INTO Centre and complete individual courses within a year of entry on a course. Students then progress to relevant University programmes at UoS or another Scottish Institution. The proposed site for the new academic centre is set adjacent to the existing Cottrell Building at the University of Stirling (UoS) campus. The UoS INTO Academic Centre is envisaged as an exciting, highly visible educational facility which provides a safe, efficient and sustainable environment where staff can work effectively and students can study and socialise. The new facility will be designed to respect and harmonise with the existing landscape and retained buildings, respecting the design ethos of the original 1968 and 2012 UoS campus masterplans. The project will be undertaken on a single stage traditional procurement route basis with the design team providing completed design information and a bill of quantities for issue as part of the tender information. The team for the project include: Project Manager and Principal Designer — Faithful+Gould; Architect — Page Park; M&E Engineer — Atelier Ten; Fire Engineer — Atelier Ten; Structural Engineer — Woolgar Hunter; Landscape Architect — IWA.
