Acute GP Service in Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Kings Lynn, UK

NHS West Norfolk Clinical Commissioning Group (WNCCG) has been running a successful pilot scheme at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, Kings Lynn, UK, where General Practitioners (GPs), based in an Acute Setting, provide an interface between Primary and Secondary care and an alternative to an immediate hospital admission for ambulatory patients. There is a need to establish the service on a more formal basis with the appointment of a single Service Provider to manage it. The procurement process to establish a suitable provider will commence in July 2013. As the required services are Annex IIB healthcare services, the requirement will not be published in the OJEU, but will be published in Supply2Health on the NHS Anglia Commissioning Support Unit (CSU) website and the West Norfolk Clinical Commissioning Group's website. NHS Anglia CSU will be acting on behalf of WNCCG for the purpose of conducting the procurement exercise.
