Electric Vehicle Infrastructure in Cheshire East.

Cheshire East Council has secured grant funding from the Office of Low Emission Vehicles (OLEV) for 75 % of the costs of two Electric Vehicle (EV) chargepoint projects. The aim of the projects is to incentivise the uptake of EV technology in the Borough amongst public, staff and visitors to the Council, and within the Council's fleet. There are two separate projects which the Council is looking for support in delivering. For both projects the Council is looking for a partner to manage the project from inception to delivery, including maintenance (for a minimum of 3 years) and promotion: Lot 1: RAPID Project: The installation of up to 6 Rapid electric vehicle charging posts in the Borough. The Council is seeking a partner to provide the additional 25% funding to provide the infrastructure. Lot 2: FAST Project: The installation of (a minimum of) 3 Fast electric vehicle-charging posts on the Council's own estate. The location for the infrastructure is yet to be determined, and the Council is seeking support in assessing its options for site selection as part of both projects. However suppliers should consider bidding within the relevant budget envelope as set out in the detail of this specification. The specification treats these two projects as separate lots. Suppliers should submit bids for each lot separately. There is no requirement to bid on both lots.
