The purpose of this joint procurement between Wyre Forest, Bromsgrove & Redditch District Councils is to supply Telephone Switch(s) with the capacity to support. a) Approx 500 to 600 extensions at Wyre Forest District Council to be incorporated with the existing voice network over 5 main sites. The solution will also need to underpin the Council's move to a new Single Site in 2012 and the current roll out of Home / Flexible Working. The Council currently has a number of Siemens PBX telephone switches (iSDX and DX platforms) distributed throughout various Council offices. The successful contractor will be expected to support these systems in accordance with manufactures preventative maintenance specifications until such time they are decommissioned. b) Approx 600 telephone extensions at Redditch Borough Council to be incorporated on the existing network over 26 Sites. Approx 400 of these are located at the main Town House building with the remainder spread over the remote sites. The current voice solution will be decommissioned at the end of this project and therefore no interconnectivity or support for these items is required. c) Approx 400 telephone extensions at Bromsgrove District Council to be incorporated on the existing network over 3 sites.. The current voice solution will be decommissioned at the end of this project and therefore no interconnectivity or support for these items is required. The IP Telephony solution is likely to include Voice Mail, Call Recording, Presence, IP Handsets, Soft Phones and Call Centre features. The procurement scope will also include Installation, On site Training for administrators and some end users, Support and Maintenance, and Business Continuity. There is an existing IP telephony service at each of the above councils, residing in their relative Customer Service Centre’s, that is managed by a third party and will remain for the foreseeable future. All solutions will need to interconnect with this Cisco System to enable calls to be passed between locations. Any or all of the Councils may wish to withdraw from this Tender exercise at any point and continue with procurement on an individual basis or cease procurement altogether.
