Forth Valley College already own and use a selection of simulation software ‘modules' which operate within a classroom environment within the College's Falkirk Campus. These existing modules owned by the College have all been purchased previously from the same supplier, TSC Simulation Limited. The College now wish to expand the range of modules available for teaching in order to widen the scope and quality of teaching provision to students and industry apprentices, and to enhance the realism of the training within a Virtual Control Room environment. The critical factor for this expansion project is the technical and operational compatibility of all new software simulation modules with existing modules already in use at the College. A further critical factor in this expansion project is the ability to be able to use the software simulation modules for teaching in both the existing classroom and the new Virtual Control Room environment. As such, integration of the software onto the existing College IT network is vital from technical and operational perspectives. Furthermore, the College wishes to procure a computerised simulation module of physical training plant located on the College grounds which TSC Simulation Limited own Intellectual Property Rights.
