Portsmouth City Council, “the Employer”, is continuing a major programme of coastal defence construction as part of the North Portsea Island Coastal Flood Defence Scheme. The employer is seeking to appoint a contractor to deliver Phase 4 of this 5 phase programme to cover flood defence works adjacent to Kendall's Wharf and along the Eastern Road in the north, tying into the Phase 2 Milton Common defence works in the south. The estimated value for construction works is 14 000 000 GBP. The target construction commencement date for the works landward of Kendall's Wharf is Sep 2019 with a completion date of Apr 2020. The Eastern Road seawall construction will commence in Apr 2020 with a completion date of Oct 2022, excluding landscaping works which must be completed by Feb 2023. The employer is targeting an award contract date of 28.5.2019. Application is via completion of a Supplier Status Questionnaire (SSQ) and associated documentation which must be submitted by 15.6.2018 14:00.
