Environmental issues consultancy services. The aim of this work is to demonstrate a number of techniques to reduce product damage, optimise packaging and improve resource efficiency in the distribution of home improvement and workplace products sold by home improvement retailers, builders’ merchants and wholesalers. This will identify the financial savings and environmental benefits of improving systems, and practices in the handling, packaging and the distribution of products. WRAP anticipates entering into contract with more than one project team / consortia submitting proposals in response to this tender invitation. Each successful applicant will undertake a physical trial or demonstration of changes to packaging or distribution systems or processes in a real UK manufacturing, distribution and retail or merchant supply chain (including "e-tail" and customer delivery).
