Passenger Transport Taxi and Minibus Framework Agreement.

A framework agreement for the transport around the county of Essex of entitled passengers including Entitled Mainstream School students, Looked After Children, passengers with special educational needs, Older People, people with Learning Disabilities and people with Physical and Sensory Impairments. The Framework will be tendered separately across 4 areas, one per geographical area (quadrants) and the Lots within each area will include pricing by sub-area for different vehicle sizes and types including wheelchair accessibility, different journey distances and pricing for passenger assistants, if required and other pricing. The number of Lots per area is expected to be: North = 20 Lots (5 sub-areas x 4 vehicle size bands), Mid = 20 Lots (5x4), South = 28 Lots (7x4) and West = 36 Lots (9x4 - as this is the highest figure this has been used for II.1.8 and Annex B). We are anticipating having no more than 20 operators per Area (for II.1.4 20x4=80). The initial duration of the Framework Agreement shall be for two years with the option to extend on a yearly basis up to a maximum framework duration of 4 years in total.
