Norfolk County Council wishes to enter into a contract with a single service provider for the provision of a managed IT service for a Library Management System (LMS) and the replacement and ongoing support and management of the public facing computers for the Norfolk Library Service. Norfolk Library Service currently has 565 public access terminals over 47 sites. In the year 2012/13 over 900,000 computer sessions were logged, by over 235,000 unique users. The number of public computers in each library ranges from 3 to 110. The supplier will be responsible for designing, implementing and supporting the LMS solution to include:- A) Migration of the existing library catalogue into the new LMS B) Delivery of anytime, anywhere access to full LMS functionality that is not client application software dependent C) Provison of a customer interface that is easy to navigate, intuitive and fun to use D) A telephone renewal service E) Integratration of customer accounts with their social networking presence The supplier will also be responsible for designing, implementing and supporting the public computers solution to include:- A) Providing the relevant hardware required to deliver the public computer service and managing all installations B) Deployment of new software and upgrades with no service disruption C) Maintenance and ongoing support of the hardware and software across 47 library sites around Norfolk D) Management of the PC Authentication module
