Acquisition of a multiphoton laser to Center for Basic and Translational Neuroscience.

For research purposes, we will need a laser for our multiphoton imaging system. This purchase will aid us to visualize brain function and it’s glymphatic system and answer questions related to how the brain rids itself of unwanted solutes by following the movement of fluorescent tracer molecules and the signal from fluorescent calcium indicators. Our research aims at exposing targets, which can aid in the development of future therapies for humans suffering from neurological disease and trauma.
