Advocacy Support Service

Portsmouth City Council, ‘the Authority’, has awarded a contract to deliver an Advocacy Support Service. The aim of the service is to achieve the following objectives: a) Independent Advocacy; b) Independent Mental Health Advocacy (IMHA); c) Independent Mental Capacity Advocacy (IMCA) — including IMCA in Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS); d) Relevant Person Representative; e) Advocacy for Parents at Child Protection Case Conferences. The Contract has a commencement date of 20.6.2016. The initial Contract period will be for 3 years with the possibility of extending the term by a further 1 year to a maximum total term of 4 years in increments to be agreed, subject to the agreement and performance of both parties.
