The Fremtidens Tog programme is currently preparing to tender for new rolling stock for DSB. The rolling stock shall provide a capacity of approximately 30 000 seats being delivered during 2024-2029. The rolling stock will handle traffic on both DSB's regional and intercity lines. It will only operate in Denmark. As a sub-project under Fremtidens Tog — Anskaffelse af lokomotiver (Acquisition of locomotives or AL) — is preparing a procurement of 26 electric locomotives to replace the ME and EA locomotives. DSB foresees the need of consultant support for both Fremtidens Tog and AL. Therefore, DSB will later this year invite interested companies to apply for pre-qualification to tender for advisory services as support for the phases 2-5 of Fremtidens Tog and the AL project. The pre-qualified companies will bid for Fremtidens Tog phase 2, with the remaining phases 3-5 and the AL project kept as options.
