The Alder Hey Children’s NHS Foundation Trust (“the Trust”) is seeking to award a contract for the supply of Independent Tester Services for the Construction and Commissioning Phase of the new specialist Children’s Hospital and associated new facilities. The new Alder Hey Children’s Hospital will comprise of approximately a new 60 000m² development (complete with a 1 200 space multi-storey car park) for a range of specialist in-patient and support facilities. The development has been procured as a Private Finance Initiative (PFI). In summary, the requirements of the Independent Tester Contract include (but are not limited) to the following: — Monitoring and reporting progress in the delivery of the Construction and Commissioning Works, — Through testing and the application of specialist assessment processes, provide written confirmation that the Works have been delivered in accordance with the Trust's Construction Requirements and Project Co's Proposals as detailed within the Project Agreement, — Confirming all testing and compliance requirements have been met in accordance with the obligations detailed within the Project Agreement, — Issue of a Certificate of Practical Completion, — Preparation and monitoring the completion of any snagging matters in accordance with the Project Agreement. The Independent Tester Services contract to be awarded shall be between: (i) the Trust; (ii) Project Co; (iii) the contractor; (iv) the Funders to the scheme (to be appointed); and (v) the Independent Tester Services provider. The Trust is procuring the required services on behalf of the contracting parties.
