PURCH1061 Supply, Installation & Maintenance of Lot 1, 3 Tesla Magnetic Resonance Imaging and Spectroscopy System and Lot 2, 7 Tesla Magnetic Resonance Imaging and Spectroscopy System. The University of Glasgow is undertaking the development of imaging capability within Glasgow. This project involves the acquisition of MRI equipment to be housed in the South Glasgow Hospital site. We now require going to tender for the items of imaging equipment. The University requires a solution which will ensure high quality imaging, using up-to-date innovative technology to meet both current and future service demands. By the time of installation, the University is conscious that imaging functionality is likely to have improved considerably to that available today. The University therefore needs to plan for this in terms of capital draw-down funds to ensure that the option to invest in improved functionality at the optimum time; with newly available coils, hardware improvements and processing tools and imaging sequences. This strategic objective is reflected through the evaluation process and award criteria. After the initial Tender evaluation based on the award criteria the University of Glasgow reserves the right to invite shortlisted Suppliers who may be asked to provide a presentation. For the avoidance of doubt, any brand names mentioned are 'or equivalent'. All prices should be submitted ex VAT, carriage paid and installed.
