Request For Information (RFI): Airfield Capacity Management Capability. Heathrow Airport operated at a record 99.2 % of its permissible Air Traffic Management (ATM) capacity during 2011. In such a highly constrained environment having the ability to maximise the throughput and quality from existing capacity, provide the right facilities at the right time and deliver a resilient operation during times of disruption is vital if Heathrow is to achieve its goal of being the Europe’s HUB of choice for passengers. The primary objective of this project is therefore to redefine the modelling tools, data and planning parameters in order to provide Heathrow Airport with the Airfield Capacity Management Capability to make informed decisions in relation to existing and future airfield capacity and ensure resiliency at all times. Examples will include the phasing of airfield works, impact of airline moves, airfield capacity limits and impact of fleet mix changes etc.
