ScCVD Diamond Monochromatic X-ray Beam Position Monitors

High precision photon beam diagnostics are increasingly important for beamlines at Diamond Light Source (DLS) and at other synchrotrons worldwide. The current state-of-the-art technology in terms of monochromatic X-ray beam position monitors (XBPMs) are single crystal CVD diamond quadrant detectors, capable of measuring beam position with resolutions of 0,1 % of beam size at kHz bandwidths and 10 micron beam sizes, or of making measurements at bunch-by-bunch rates. The scope of the contract is to design, manufacture, supply, and deliver diamond XBPMs, subject to a Performance Specification outlined in our Tender Specification.
