The provision of an electronic vehicle detection solution, including technology, hardware, software, maintenance and support services and repair and replacement. This procurement is for approximately 10 000 paid and disabled parking bays with a phased deployment approach being taken. Whilst the contracting authority does not guarantee or warrant or give any undertaking in relation to the numbers of sensors which will be purchased the contracting authority currently expects to purchase approximately 3 000 sensors in Phase 1 and then, subject to the following sentence, up to around 7 000 sensors in Phase 2, the Initiation of Phase 2 will be based on the technology performing successfully against KPI's and to the City Council's business case satisfactorily being met. The City Council, may also at its discretion, require the installation of small numbers of sensors to be deployed to bay types other than paid and disabled for the purpose of short term parking occupany survey data collection. The contractor will not be requirred to carry out installation works. The contractor will also not be required to provide a smartphone application for use by end user individuals.
