Helse Fonna HF [Fonna Hospital Trust] has approved the expansion of the hospital in Haugesund as well as the consequent reconstruction in the existing building. The construction project is called ByggHaugesund2020. The preliminary project was approved by the boards of Fonna Hospital Trust and the Western Norway Regional Health Authority in spring 2017. The loan was granted in the 2018 state budget. The construction works at ByggHaugesund 2020 are planned to take place in two stages, the first being the construction of an 18 000 m 2 new construction with consequent reconstruction of 6 000 m 2 of vacated premises. The second stage is planned for 2030 and consists of a new construction of about 15 000 m 2 . The contracting authority wants tender offers for temperature monitoring systems. Fonna Hospital Trust, Section for Laboratory Medicine, will procure temperature monitoring systems. The system will temperature-monitor equipment/rooms that are critical to safeguard patient safety.
