The Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company (EETC) has applied for a. loan from the European Investment Bank (hereinafter referred to as the EIB) to finance Badr Substation Package C "Telecommunication Systems". The Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company (EETC), a wholly owned subsidiary of the Egyptian Electricity Holding Company (EEHC) is inviting International Tenderers to submit Tenders for the supply & installation on turnkey bases for Badr 500 kV Telecommunication Systems (the works). The scope of works includes, but is not limited to engineering, design, fabrication, factory testing, site delivery, loading, unloading, training, installation, testing & commissioning, put in service, warranty and insurance until issuance of Taking Over & Acceptance Certificate for Badr 500 kV Telecommunication Systems. Responsive Tenderers will be selected on the bases of compliance with the schedule, terms and conditions as well as the technical specifications, acceptable past experience including past experience of subcontractors and financial capability, adequacy of proposed manpower and construction equipment. The Tenderer (including its subcontractor(s)) should have; a) experience in the same field for at least three similar projects successfully completed and working successfully for three years in three different locations, during the last five years, one of which outside Tenderer's country, b) In case the Tenderer has no experience but the equipment supplier (manufacturer) has such experience then the Tenderer has to submit the manufacturer experience in the same field for at least three similar projects completed and working successfully for three years in three different locations in the last (5) years, one of which outside manufacture's country. In the later case; the Tenderer has to submit a joint agreement confirming that the installation shall be carried out by the equipment manufacturers' representatives. The testing; commissioning shall be carried out by the equipment manufacturer's expert, c) The equipment manufacturer shall provide field proven experience certificates showing records of the supply in three different locations one of which outside the manufacture country successfully operational for three years (during the last five years). Only Envelope A of Tenders will be opened on the same day at 12:00 noon O'clock (Egyptian local time) in the presence of Tenderers' representatives who choose to attend, at the headquarters of EETC at the address shown above. Tenderers whose Tenders have been determined to be substantially responsive shall be informed of the opening date for Envelope B.
