India — Integration of Renewable Energy in Buildings in India — A component under the BEEP Project (2018-2023)

The Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) has been supporting the “Indo-Swiss Building Energy Efficiency Project (BEEP)” since 2011. Currently, BEEP focuses on increasing energy efficiency of buildings and has demonstrated that 30-45 % energy savings through various efficiency measures can be reached at minimal extra costs. Through this call for tenders, SDC is selecting an agency to carry out the implementation of an additional component under BEEP, focusing on the “Integration of Renewable Energy in Buildings”. The broad objective of this new component is to design, showcase and monitor 2-3 renewable energy technologies suitable to the Indian context and applicable for multi-storey buildings. It also aims to develop local skills for up-scaling and capacity building of stakeholders. The duration of this project component will be 3 years and is planned to start on 15.9.2018 and last until 14.9.2021 with an optional prolongation until 2023.
