Support and advisory service for registered childminders.

The Council has awarded a contract for the delivery of an inclusive information, advice and support service, including the provision of tailored support packages, for all Ofsted registered childminders operating within the city of Portsmouth. The contract enables the Council to fulfil it’s statutory duty to provide information, advice and support to all Ofsted registered early years education and childcare providers and to ensure there are sufficient childcare places to support working parents. The contract runs from 1.4.2010 to 31.3.2011 with the provision to extend for a further two years subject to agreement and performance by both parties. This option has since been taken up by both parties.
