TBO — Hydraulic Packer Tests

Part of the deep borehole project (TBO project) is the assessment of the barrier properties of the formation Opalinus Clay and its confining geological units, as well as the characterisation of the deep aquifers by means of hydraulic packer tests. The performance of hydraulic packer tests, including their analysis and documentation, is the subject of this tender. The depth of the hydraulic packer tests is expected to range between 30 – 1400 m. Nagra wishes to award 2 contracts, each for hydraulic packer testing in 3 successive boreholes. Each Contract has the option for extension of hydraulic packer testing in 3 additional successive boreholes. Most boreholes will be vertical, however, a few inclined boreholes are also possible. The following work items are requested: — provision of hydraulic packer-test equipment, — performance of hydraulic packer tests, — groundwater sampling (pumping, downhole sampling), — test analysis, — documentation (reports).
