Carriageway resurfacing works. Dual carriageway construction work. Single carriageway construction work. Construction work for highways, roads. Construction work for highways. The Term Contract is to be used by the Technical Services Division to predominantly undertake individual carriageway resurfacing schemes. However, on occasion it will be used for other highway improvement schemes as summarised below. The type of highway improvement works anticipated may include: Carriageway resurfacing and reconstruction works; Footway resurfacing, reconstruction, paving; and kerbing works. Patching and reinstatement works in both carriageways and footways. Works for installation of Pelican Crossing, Works for installation of traffic signals, road/junction improvements. Construction of car parks/lay-bys,Traffic Calming Schemes, Cycling Schemes, strategic routes such as road corridors and cycle routes. There is no guarantee that the works to be carried out over the contract period will be continuous or evenly distributed throughout the contract, or that work will be instructed against each and every item.
