Fire-alarm systems. The Council wishes to appoint a Contractor on a 4 year fixed term contract with an option to extend for up to a further 48 months whether in single or multiple extensions comprising the annual maintenance at sheltered housing schemes for older people and at a general needs tower block of all portable fire extinguishers, fire blankets, dry risers, fire alarm systems, hard wired smoke detection, battery operated smoke detection, smoke detection inside residential flats, internal and external fire doors, fire door hold open devices, fire safety signage, minor maintenance work identified on fire safety equipment and the creation of asset lists for all items to be maintained. There is potential later in the contract for the annual maintenance of water suppression systems to be added, after installation and warranty period expiry
