Project name: Ternopil District Heating Modernisation Project Country: Ukraine Business sector: Municipal and environmental infrastructure Project ID: 6747-GPN-42524 Funding source: EBRD, E5P Type of contract: Project goods, works and services Type of notice: General procurement notice Issue date: 01.08.2012 Closing date: 01.08.2013, 23:59 PM Local Time Communal Enterprise “Ternopilmiskteplokomunenergo” of the Ternopil City Council, a municipal district heating utility, has applied for a loan from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development [the Bank] and a grant from the Eastern Europe Energy Efficiency and Environment Partnership ("E5P") Fund for a project aimed at improving the energy efficiency, reducing energy losses, gas and electricity consumption and improving the quality of heat and hot water supply services in the City of Ternopil. The proposed project, which has a total estimated cost of approximately EUR 17.5 million equivalent, will require the procurement of the following goods, works and services: • New biomass fuelled boiler with heat pump • Individual heating substations • Rehabilitation and modernisation of boiler houses • Replacement of obsolete pipes • Solar heating plant 500 m2 • SCADA Tendering for the above contracts is expected to begin in the Q4 2012. Contracts to be financed with the proceeds of a loan from the Bank and E5P grant will be subject to the Bank's 'Procurement Policies and Rules' and will be open to firms from any country. The proceeds of the loan and the grant will not be used for the purpose of any payment to persons or entities, of for any import of goods, if such payment or import is prohibited by a decision of the United Nations Security Council taken under Chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations or under a law of official regulation of the Purchaser's country.
