Main Contractor for the demolition of the current veterinary science block and design and build of a new build circa 1051 self-catered, undergraduate student bedrooms including associated public realm works in a city centre location at the heart of the University of Liverpool campus. The development consists of three number, multi-storey blocks (some with courtyards) containing a range of residential cluster flats to their upper floors and non-residential uses/parking at ground floor ‘podium’ level. The cluster flats generally comprise 6-8 study bedrooms with associated kitchen/living space. They are arranged around first floor courtyard decks which form the roofs of the podium spaces. The site is adjacent to the mainline rail cutting serving Liverpool Lime Street station and the University’s primary substation. ULCC is seeking a Design and Build contractor to construct new residences for students/post graduates and families. The tender will include RIBA Stage C and the contractor shall be responsible for completing the design, securing planning approval (which may be jointly submitted with the University) and securing full discharge of all reserved matters.
