High Voltage Shore Power System

This is a advance notice to let interested suppliers make their interest of participating know. Plug Ålesund shall establish a shore power facility for cruise ships in Ålesund. The facility are to be built on Prestebrygga, a quay central in Ålesund city, to supply ships on the quays Prestebrygga and Stornespiren. Both are pillar quays. The converter facility shall be able to supply all cruise ships calling for Ålesund, and are to be built in accordance with IEC-80005-1:2019 and IEC 80005-2:2016. The converter facility will be 2 x 16 MVA, both supplying 11 kV and 6,6 kV, at 50 and 60 Hz, and that is what is asked for in the competition. To be able to deliver the power to the ships, there will be bought a mobile cable management system.
