Insurance brokerage services. The Ministry of Defence requires the following insurance broking, risk management, and transactional insurance placement services: a. General insurance brokerage advice, assistance and support to MOD Common Law Claims & Policy (CLCP), MOD Commercial Policy Team, Other Government Departments and Agencies on developing insurance, risk and loss management requirements. Provision of technical and management information on insurance related issues as may be required by the Authority from time to time. b. Transactional insurance placement work: i. Aviation insurance, broking and claims handling advice, ii. Personal Accident Insurance iii. Insurance broking, placement, administration of commercial insurance(s) and attendant loss and risk management support. c. Assistance with evaluation and auditing of existing MOD Contracts for “Claims Handling” and Conduct annual audit of MOD’s external commercial claims handlers, as directed. d. Other Government Departments that are listed in http:/www.direct.gov.uk/en/DI1/Directories/A-zofCentral Government/index.htm may utilise this contract.
