Thin Film - Microwave / Xray.

There is a requirement for a state of the art X-ray diffractometer to support the characterisation needs of researchers in various aspects of science and engineering within the University of Southampton. The types of materials under investigation will include multi-layer films, structured films, stressed engineering materials, epitaxial systems and micro samples. The instrument will be run in tandem with an existing powder diffractometer and will not be required for routine phase analysis of powdered samples.
