SCH - Clearance and Repair of Underground Drains

Solihull Community Housing (SCH) wishes to enter into Contract with a Contractor for Drainage Clearance and Repair Services at various locations within the Metropolitan Borough of Solihull. The required works/service are/is to include, but not be limited to: — Inspection, location and clearance of blockages to drains, sewers and manholes — Arranging of appointments with tenants — Provision of a 2-hour call response and full 24-hour call out service — Completion of CCTV surveys and root cutting when required — Reporting of all Severn Trent ownership blockages and liaising with SCH and the resident to provide relevant reference information — Completion of rodding, jetting, washing down and disinfection of the affected area using the appropriate equipment — Renewal of underground pipes, concrete bedding and haunching — Backfilling and reinstating slabbed and tarmac surfaces — Removal of internal sanitary fittings. where necessary, to allow clearance to proceed It is anticipated that the Contract shall commence 1.6.2014. The proposed term of this Contract is for a period of 3 years with an option to extend, subject to performance, by up to a further 2 12 month periods. The Contract value is estimated at GBP 75 000 per annum. The successful contractor is to be selected through a formal tender process. In order to be considered for inclusion on SCH's select list of contractors who are to be invited to tender, contractors must express an interest in this tender and complete a set of Pre-Qualification Questionnaire document(s). The closing date for the submission of completed Pre-Qualification Questionnaires is no later than 12.00 noon on 16.9.2013.
