Vessel Monitoring System (VMS) Communications Hub.

The Authority has appointed a Contractor for the provision of a Vessel Monitoring System (VMS) Communications Hub on behalf of the Fisheries Authorities FAs, which comprises of the following UK Fishing Authorities: — Marine Management Organisation (MMO), — Marine Scotland (MS), — Department for Agriculture and Rural Development of Northern Ireland (DARDNI), — Welsh Government (WG) and the Crown Dependency Fishing Administration of Isle of Man (a non-UK FA). The VMS Communications Hub is required to manage the activity of all the UK fishing vessels subject to the EU regulations for satellite monitoring and all the EU flagged vessels that are fishing in UK waters.
