Supply of Sea Survival Equipment.

Marine equipment. The Maritime Spares team within the D Ships Operating Centre has a requirement for the supply of Sea Survival Equipment covering a wide range of equipment types which may include but not limited to Life Jackets (commercial & military spec), Life Rafts (commercial & military spec), Buoyancy Aids, Water Safety Equipment, Means of Rescue, and training aids & spares for the above.(IMCs 0468 & 0472).The Authority is seeking expressions of interest from suppliers capable of satisfying this requirement. Those wishing to express an interest must do so via e-mail to the Authority’s nominated poc within the time limit specified. It will be an essential feature of any resultant contract for suppliers to be able to source products not normally held as stock or within their normal product range as it is the Authority’s intention to contract with a single provider to satisfy the entirety of this spares requirement. The successful tenderer may be required to supply samples of equipment for approval prior to commencing manufacture. Samples shall be supplied free of charge to the Authority. Some items may be proprietary, which may mean that there is only one legitimate supplier/manufacturer. The successful tenderer will be responsible for resolving any IPR issues associated with the scope of supply. Prior to formally expressing an interest, please contact the Authority for a “draft” spares requirement. Suppliers expressing an interest shall need to demonstrate accredited 3rd Party {or Government Issued} Quality Management System (QMS) certification which includes an appropriate scope to meet the requirement by supplying the latest copy of their certificate. In the event that no certification is held, the company must be able to demonstrate that they operate and maintain a QMS acceptable to the Department for this requirement. It should be noted that a pre-qualification questionnaire may be issued following receipt of expressions of interest but prior to issue of Invitation to Tender.
